Founded in 1986 by Tatsuro Watanabe in Southern California, Hobby Products International started with a modest range of aftermarket graphite parts and motors before designing its first complete car kit, the Super F1. From those early beginnings, HPI grew into a brand trusted by hobbyists and World Championship competitors alike, with its Uno motors winning a World Championship title as early as 1987.
Over four decades, HPI has produced some of the most iconic RC platforms ever made. The RS4 series was among the first electric touring cars on the market.
