The RSO/01 (Raupenschlepper Ost) Tractor from our 1/35 scale military vehicle model kits range accurately recreates the real-life German tracked military tractor used during World War II. This plastic model kit requires paint and glue to complete.
During WWII, the RSO was developed as a German tractor to deal with conditions such as deep snowfall. A 70 hp 3,517 cc V8 gasoline engine and 4-speed transmission were mounted in the front, and powered the rear differential and sprockets via a propeller shaft. The first production model RSO/01 had a rounded cabin of pressed steel sheet. 60cm width snow tracks could be fitted to get over bad roads. The production started in October, 1942 and from next spring, the RSO/01 had the cabin floor raised by around 30mm to keep it out of the way of the snow tracks. The RSO found applications such as an artillery tractor and transportation of goods.

- Assembly-type tracks feature one-piece straight sections
- Cabin front cover can be assembled with and without shutters
- One driver figure and masking stickers for painting transparent window parts are included
- Decals depict 1st Skijäger Division at Eastern Front, 1944 and unknown unit in France, 1944
