The Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 from our 1/24 and 1/25 scale car model kits range accurately recreates the real-life Japanese car. This plastic model kit requires paint and glue to complete.

Tamiya welcomes an updated re-issue of the Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 (originally sold in 1978: motorised at that time) with new Cartograf decals, updated instruction manual and packaging. The Toyota Celica LB Turbo was a Group 5 car developed for the 1977 DRM (German Racing Championship). Based upon the road car Celica Liftback, the car featured aerodynamic components such as bulging over fenders and rear wing, and employed numerous FRP body panels. An extensively modified body and 2,090cc, 560hp inline-4 DOHC turbo engine were utilised. This car made its debut in July 1977, and in October of the same year, it beat the Porsche 935 and achieved its maiden victory.
