Modlestrip is designed for removing paint without damage to the model. To use 'Modelstrip', you simply plaster your model all over with the paste (few mm thick) in the areas that you wish to remove paint from. You then place the model in an air tight plastic bag and leave it over night.

The following morning, remove from the bag and simply wash the model under the water tap. The paste will wash off and take the paint with it. In my experience of the product, a little light brushing is also required, but it is very successful and it is purposely made for the job: ie is does not attack plastics.

It effectively disolves paint and has no effect on the surface on which the paint has been placed. You can therefore managed to use it successfully to remove paint from metal/brass models as well as plastic surfaces.

Works very well with enamel paint but pretty hopeless with anything else. Make sure you wear full eye protection when you're using it - it's easy to get an accidental splash in your eye when you're scrubbing a model under a tap and it is not funny. I speak from experience. (Ordinary glasses do not count as full eye protection).

Does what it says on the can. Having completely messed up the paint on a 1/32 Starfighter, this stuff came to the rescue. Couple of goes, left overnight in a plastic bag, washed off and I was left with a clean model. Good stuff.

    Modelstrip is Excellent

I like this product a lot. It does what it says it does. If you want to revive old models with a new paint job this will remove the old paint. If like me painting isn't your strong point, and it goes wrong you can erase your mistake and take off the paint and start again without damage to the model. It doesn't effect filler either. It takes a little work and time to strip of layers of paint but its worth it. Modelstrip can be diluted with water making it easier to apply. Also the product isn't unpleasent to use. How to use instructions are clear and easy to follow on the tub.

Does what it says and easy to use. Sorted out some messed up Kitmaster railway coaches. Very pleased with results - various layers and types of paint came away and odd places could be "spot fixed". No damage to the delicate surfaces: just need a good but gentle scrubber. Rest of goods supplied also well up to the mark.

This product has consistently and reliably removed enamel paints from both plastic and resin models without any damage at all. It can be somewhat more unreliable when used to strip acrylics. It is, without doubt, the best method of removing paint from models.

    Model Paint stripper

Great service by Wonderland Models. This product is messy to use but quite good. I was disappointed that it didn't remove all of the paint which was on the top of the model. From using this product i guess it only works on certain paints but did save a lot of rubbing down.

Excellent product! removes enamels completely, but struggles a bit with acrylics. I threw a few models away because of botched paint jobs before I discovered this stuff. Now I can strip and re-paint until I get the finish I want. Highly recommended! A+++++
