Adventures In Plastic
Adventures in Plastic (AiP) is a model kit brand launched in 2021, created to produce nostalgic plastic model kits for collectors and modellers. The brand launched with a range of officially licensed Thunderbirds kits, faithfully recreating the iconic vehicles from Gerry Anderson's classic 1965 Supermarionation television series. Each kit is designed in the UK and engineered using advanced CAD processes, producing injection-moulded styrene models that capture the distinctive look of the original studio models used in the show.
The Thunderbirds range includes Thunderbird 1, Thunderbird 2 with Thunderbird 4, Thunderbird 3, Thunderbird 4, Thunderbird 5, Lady Penelope's FAB 1, The Mole, the Fireflash airliner and dedicated launch bay sets. In 2024, AiP expanded beyond Thunderbirds with the addition of new subjects, including a 1/350 scale HMS Belfast, a 1/35 scale British Army Warrior armoured infantry fighting vehicle and a 1/48 scale Hawker Hunter F.6 in Black Arrows display team livery. The brand also produces 1/6 scale resin collectable figures depicting characters from Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation shows, including Stingray.
