The Short SC.7 Skyvan, a British twin-turboprop transport aircraft, made its maiden flight in 1963 and was designed to be straightforward and economical to operate. Manufactured until 1986, approximately 150 units were produced, with the Skyvan 3 being the most prevalent version. It was utilised globally, including by Argentina during the Falklands War, and was priced at around $650,000 in 1972.
