The Caldercraft Brannaren is a detailed scale model of a small coastal tanker from the early 1930s. Built in Malmö and completed in 1933, the real Brannaren first served with the Swedish Navy before later being sold into private ownership.

Tanker models are rare due to their complexity, which makes the Brannaren a standout choice for serious model builders. The hull is a fully detailed GRP moulding, while the decks and superstructure are precision-cut birch plywood with printed overlays. The pipework and deck valves are a key feature of this model and give it its distinctive character.

Assembly is made easier thanks to high-quality fittings and a clear underlay drawing. The kit includes a full set of white metal fittings along with all required dowel, wire and cordage.
