Description
The Tamiya North American P-51D Mustang Model Kit in 1/32 scale from the plastic aircraft model range accurately recreates the real life US fighter aircraft flown during World War II.
This plastic aircraft kit requires paint and glue to complete.
Cockpit: Early and late-type instrument panels and seats are included. Equipment area behind the seat allows for depiction of different variants.
Main Landing Gear Wheel Wells: Wheel wells and the inside of the landing gear covers are also highly detailed. Note the inclusion of the landing light.
Engine: Packard-built Merlin V-1650-7 engine featuresimpressive details. Ultra-thin engine cowlingshave built-in magnets to enable cowlingdetachment even after assembly.
Radiator Mechanism: Radiator components are reproduced just like those on the actual aircraft. Both the radiator flap and oil cooler flap are movable.
Tail Section: You can select either early or late type tails, with the late-type featuring the dorsal fin. Parts for fabric-and metal-covered elevators are also included. Image shows early (left) and late type (right) respectively.
Machine Guns: The six 12.7mm Browning machine guns along with ammunition belts are accurately reproduced.
Rubber Tires: Synthetic rubber tires feature a realistic tread pattern.
Pilot Figures: Comes with 1 standing and 1 seated pilot figure.
Drop Tanks: Parts for 75 and 108 gallon drop tanks are included.
Photo-Etched Parts: Photo-etched parts to depict details such as seat harnesses, radiator, and oil cooler are included to add even more realism to this wonderful model.
Marking Options: Comes with 3 types of marking options to depict aircraft from the US 8th Air Force:
