    Reliving my youth!

I bought this Hotshot some 25 years after having an original one. I spent ages deciding whether to buy a modern model or whether to go for this reissue of the Hotshot which I used to race when I was a kid and I am glad I went back to this.

The model has been updated brilliantly without losing the character of the original. The parts which were weak on the original, particularly the driveshafts have been changed to stronger one picece items. With the original we spent a fortune (or my dad did!) to make it suitable for racing, but if this model was still competitive today it would be almost ready to race from the box.

It is good to see that an ESC is included, yet the old heat sinks have been retained for appearance.

The only upgrade I have made is a full bearing set, purchased for £7 from eBay, about £18 cheaper than they were in 1985!

I haven't built the kit fully yet but I look forward to taking it for a spin.

Wonderland models were the best price I could find on the net and dealt with my order promptly and efficiently, packing the box nicely to prevent damage, and I would definitely use them again.
