Wonderland Models has been established for over 35 years as Scotland 's leading model shop and hobby store in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is the largest model specialist in the country and one of the largest in the world, offering a huge range of products to suit the newcomer & enthusiast. This site gives you the chance to browse our extensive stock catalogue and order items online, through a secured purchasing interface.

The shop is situated opposite the Filmhouse on Lothian Road in Edinburgh 's City Centre, just off the West End of Princes Street. We're really easy to find.

Plastic and Wooden Model Kits

Our Plastic kits and Wooden models range is one of the biggest in the country, stocking all the major manufacturers of Planes, Helicopters, Tanks, Ships, Cars, Trucks, Motorbikes and Figures, as well as some lesser known ones too. We also keep all the Accessories, Paints, Airbrushes and Compressors needed to get that professional finish on your kits. All leading brands stocked including Tamiya, Airfix and Revell.

The Radio Control Models Department has a full range of Electric and Fuel Powered rc Planes, rc Boats, radio control Helicopters, remote control Cars, rc Tanks, radio controlled Trucks and Motorcycles as well as a full spares backup for all the kits that we stock. These rc radio control models are available Ready to Run and in kit form for self assembly.

We stock a large range of BB guns in Standard and Hop-up format, BB Rifles along with Pellets and Targets, Barnett Slingshots and Paintball Guns And Accessories. We also keep an assortment of Archery Starter Sets. We also sell a large range of air guns including air pistols, air rifles and ammunition. However these are only available in store and not via mail order.

Model Rockets

We stock the full range of Starter Sets for the Estes Model Rocket Range.We also stock replacement Motors for these. We also keep and assortment of Outdoor Rockets and Aircraft suitable for children and adults alike.

We stock the full range of outdoor toys including kites from Brookite ranging from the most simple Cutter Kites to the top of the range Stunt Kits and Power Kites. We also stock all the Aerobie range.

We stock the full range of model railways including Hornby Electric Train Sets and Hornby Live Steam Sets. We also stock all the Hornby Steam, Diesel and Electric Locomotives, Coaches, Wagons. We keep the full range of Hornby Power and Control equipment along with all the Track and Track Accessories.
We also keep the Hornby Kits, Buildings and Scenic Materials. Lastly we stock the full range of Hornby Thomas the Tank Engine Sets, Locomotives, Rolling Stock and Track Packs.
We are also a Hornby Service Centre offering advice and service on all spare parts.

We are a main dealer Scalextric Service Centre and stock the full range of spare parts for the Scalextric range. We keep all the Scalextric Sets including the new Scalextric Digital System. We keep an assortment of spare Scalextric Cars, Track, Buildings and Accessories.

We stock the full range of Wilesco Stationary Live Steam Engines and Wilesco Wheeled Live Steam Models. We also stock all the accessories and spares for these engines.

As Diecast Models specialists we also stock thousands of accurate detail models by the worlds leading
manufacturers - Die Cast Planes, Die Cast Cars, Model Motorbikes, Buses and Trucks, all in spectacular detail. Any models not in stock can easily be ordered from our suppliers.

We are Edinburgh 's leading model Toy Castle and figure shop. We stock all the Wooden Castles and Forts in the Le Toy Van and Papo ranges. We also keep literally hundreds of different figures to complement these ranges from Eppix, Papo and Schleich. We stock Knights, Fantasy Figures, Cowboys and Indians and Kings and Queens.

We specialise in the full range of all the Meccano sets from the most basic Meccano starter sets to the most detailed Design sets. We keep all the Basic Sets from the Meccano 10 Model Set upwards to the top of the range Meccano 50 Model Set. New for this year is the Spykee.
