The Hobby Time Keramin 1Kg Modelling Compound from the Modelling Accessories range provides a high quality plaster.
A high quality casting plaster which has had ceramic powder added to improve it's strength and durability. Suitable for use in latex or silicone rubber moulds. Cast figurines, chess pieces, objects d'art, dolls house accessories etc. For use indoors. Can be painted, glazed etc. Material is a white powder and is mixed in a ratio of 3 parts powder to one part water.

Stone cast alternative
This product is good but does not appear to have the SAME tensile strength that the old Stonecast product used to have did, but it still moulds very well and does give a good result .
Just not sure how strong it would be for things like chess pieces !
