A 280-ton bark built for F.T. Everard & Sons in Great Yarmouth in 1925 to 1926. The ship is owned today by P & O Containers Ltd. In 1982, Northern Europe's most beautiful captain, according to the press, took command of the ship - 24-year-old Sue Harrison, who had obtained her Master's Certificate in 1979.
This kit features plank on frame construction, laser cut plywood keel and frame components, wooden superstructure and decks, hull and deck fittings in brass and/or plastic, masts and spars in ramin, rigging cord in various sizes. will everard wooden
nearly finished hull seems like a good build, but you have make it up as you go along, instructions are useless. However I don't mind that.

I only bought this as my art tutor had us painting barges and he had bought the Will Everard kit. I decided to do the same. I have had immense pleasure completing the barge. I loved the wooden construction of the hull sand fittings (the actual barge hull was not constructed from planks of wood!) then all the painting but then I had to wait as a component supplied was incorrect. A wait of several weeks. However I then had to make two other smaller boats as I am addicted now. I made the Dana and a Titanic's lifeboat. Eventually the vital piece arrived, so that nine months later the barge was complete. I have learned a lot about barges, fortunately there are two Thames barges locally in the Ipswich dock. I highly recommend this kit. You need time and ability. I found it easy though certainly easier to get a good result that watercolour painting. I don't think my art teacher will have completed his boat, may not even have started.'

Very good - so far!
Still working on it, but find the instructions not as clear as they could be. Should be fine, and hopefully a good model
