  Great fun. Scalextric was always fun, but the new digital version ups the ante considerably.
  One advantage of the Triple cup set is that you get the full benefit immediately - 3 cars on a two lane track is great fun, and highlights the advantage of the digital system. The pit lane game adds depth to the experience.

  Downsides:
  # Cars can get 'beached' on the lanechangers. This is very annoying, and shouldn't happen. It's a design fault, the flippers should be able to carry power but don't.
  # if the pickup braids get a little ragged, they short out and cause overloads on the lanechanger. They can also cause glitches that make all cars 'stutter'. You have to check them (the braids) and tidy them up regularly.
  # I would have preferred a lap-counter to a pit-lane game. We bought one, and it really improves the experience much more than the pit-lane which only gets used occasionally.
  # You will want (and need) more track, so a lot of space is required.

  All in, a great set and a great system. My boys (6 and 8 yrs) enjoy it almost as much as I do. It would be very easy to get addicted to this and spend a lot of money on it :)

  Digital Triple Cup Set

  My 11 year old son got this set for Christmas and he loves it. The extra play value of digital is just right for this age group -he's been playing with his borther and cousins and it's provided good entertainment. The reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that it is an expensive set and he is left wanting more ... lap counter, more track, etc. which will eat up his Christmas/pocket money etc.
