Revell 1/200 Kustwacht "Waker" Description
The Revell 1/200 Kustwacht "Waker" plastic ship model accurately recreates the real life coast guard boat from the Netherlands. This plastic ship kit requires paint and glue to complete.
The tug boat of the 16.000 ihp class, built in 1976 under the name of "Smit Houston", was sold in 1990. The crane was removed from the foredeck, the front superstructure was supplemented by a helideck with a load bearing capacity of 4 tons. Renamed "Waker" in 1995, and now being used as a coast guard boat stationed in Den Helder, this boat will remain in service until 2010.
