Description
The Airfix 1/12 Bentley 4.5 Litre 1930 in 1/12 scale from the plastic car model range accurately recreates the real life British sports car built from 1927 to 1931.
This plastic car kit requires paint and glue to complete. This model builds to a length of 365mm and width of 135mm.
The Bentley 4.5 Litre was a supercharged variant, also known as the Blower Bentley. Famous for his statement "there’s no replacement for displacement", Walter Owen Bentley upped the displacement of the Bentley 3 Litre in 1926 to produce the 4.5 Litre. Upon taking control of the company, the "Bentley Boys" went in search of even more power and developed the supercharged model in 1929 at Henry Birkin’s racing workshops in Welwyn Garden City. The total production of the 4.5 Litre was 720 between 1927 and 1931. Of these, 55 were fitted with superchargers.

Airfix quality?
Fantastic service from Wonderland but Airfix needs to seriously take note of the competition! Perhaps I have been spoiled making Tamiya kits where the quality of moulding and instructions are far superior to Airfix :(. The kit is definitely not worth the retail price of £99.99 and I am relieved to have bought off Wonderland.

4.5 Ltr Bently
It is an interesting kit. The tree numbering could be a bit clearer but otherwise a very good model to build
