U.S.S Constellation - 1022850

The Artesania Latina U.S.S Constellation wooden ship model is an accurate recreation of the real life ship.
In the history of sailing vessels, it is difficult to encounter a ship whose activities were as diverse as its use of service. Indeed, the U.S.S Constellation started her active life in 1798 and was withdrawn from service in 1854. Her missions included seizing numerous ships, defending the Hawaiian Islands against annexation by the British in 1843 and transportin food to Ireland during the Great Famine of 1845 - 1849. It was also the first U.S. warship which visits China in 1842 and it became a traoning vessel in 1871. Today it brings back glorius memories to tens of thousands of tourists visiting her each year in Baltimore. If she could talk she would be able to teach us about American History.
When complete this wooden boat kit has a length of 1035 mm, height of 710 mm and beam of 153 mm. The kit also somes with a set of pre-sewn sails.
