Wilesco Steam Engine D18

The Wilesco D18 Steam Engine, The water-blue base plate has been combined with a black boiler housing and silver coloured engine plate. The flywheel is painted black. The technology of this engine represents a combination of types D20 and D16 enhanced by a number of technical refinements. The brass boiler, highly polished and nickelplated, has a capacity of 500cm�. The condensed water is fed to a tank hidden behind the boiler house causing the chimney to smoke realistically. The engine plate has now been additionally fitted with a dynamo to supply the streetlight at the rear between the boiler and engine with power. The streetlight is modelled on an industrial streetlight from the turn of the century and shines on the flywheel during operation. Water drainage cock, spring safety valve, steam whistle with chain, handwheel shutoff valve for steam, steam jet oiler, attractive piston rods of galvanized die cast metal.
