The
Revell 1/32 ABT-Audi TT-R 2002 M. Ekstrom "easykit" in their range of
easykit car models accurately recreates the real life racing car. This
easykit car kit uses clip-together construction and comes pre-coloured so does not require paint or glue to complete.
ABT Sportsline treated the first season of the DTM (2000) as an apprenticeship year. They finally had just 100 days time to prepare four cars for the season. The conditions for the 2002 DTM had been framed much better. The basis of the previous year's car (two wins at the Nurburgring) remained substantially the same, with just a few improvements to the details of the winning car. In addition to Laurent Aiello, the promising young talent Mattias Ekstkrom was coming up in the ABT Sportsline Team to become a second candidate for the title. Already in trun-up to the season the Swede had drawn attention to himself by achieving an unchallenged double win with Aiello. The youngster, who had been a touring car champion in Sweden in 1999, drove to his first DTM victory in Zandvoort, coming third in the overall standings and thus earning his place among the rising stars.
