Airfix 1/24 Falklands Sea Harrier FRS-1 Gift Set plastic aircraft
model accurately recreates a Falklands War Sea Harrier. This
plastic aircraft kit includes all the accessories you need to get the plastic model kit built, including a brush, glue, paints and decals.
This Airfix gift set also contains a special Falklands war log, which was recorded by the actual pilots during the combat period. The Sea Harrier FRS1 was developed from the land based Harrier GR1. It was first flown on 20th. August 1978, and entered service in 1980 upon the commissioning of the Royal Navy's first STOVL carrier HMS Invincible. Although developed from a ground attack aircraft the Sea Harrier proved itself in the air-to-air role during the Falklands War where it scored several kills against Argentinean aircraft with newly acquired Sidewinder missiles. This extraordinary 1:24 scale kit makes up to an incredible 604 x 320mm enabling a fantastically detailed model to be created. The conflict is described from the actual logs from the two Royal Navy Sea Harrier Squadrons that saw action in the war. Also included in the Falklands War Log are unique photographs and official technical data sheets that are only available within this set.
