Revell Models 1/18 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake Blue Description
The Revell Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake Blue is a diecast model car in 1/18 scale.
In 1966 Carroll Shelby made only two Super Snake Cobras, which were equipped with an 800 bhp, 7 litre, supercharged engine and a three speed automatic gearbox. Shelby just wished to see how fast the car would be and it turned out to be a real monster with unbelievable performance and speed.
The vehicle was used as Shelby's private car. According to him even 40 years later the car would still have outclassed everything else in the world. It was the fastest Cobra permissible on the road that he ever owned. One of the two cars had an accident, so that there is now only one Super Snake model left. In January 2007 this Cobra sold for 5.5 million US dollars at the Barrett-Jackson Auction, which makes it the most expensive American car to date.
