The Revell 1/144 U-Boot U-2540 Typ XXI is a plastic ship kit which requires paint, and may require glue, to complete.

Fast, streamlined submarine - the most advanced of its time. It is considered the forerunner of all large, conventionally powered submarines. In 1957 an example of the XXI series (U-2540) that had survived was raised and was used in active service in Germany until 1982.
